Marius Vaščega is currently European Commission’s economic governance officer in Lithuania. His main areas of activities: Lithuania’s reform agenda and EU economic initiatives, in particular Investment Plan for Europe and European Fund for Strategic Investment. He is a lawyer, economist and international politics expert. Before returning to Lithuania Marius worked at the the European Union Council (Economic and Finance Ministers formation), where he advised ten consecutive EU Presidencies throughout the financial crisis years from 2009 until 2013, as well as at the European Parliament. Before that he was an advocate in Lithuania.
