This year’s #SWITCH! hackathon is initiated and sponsored by Swedbank and will be aimed at Open Innovation trends in the financial industry – Open Banking 2.0. blockchain – decentralised bank account address book. Teams competing in the hackathon will try to develop a unique, decentralized business model and proof of concept for a decentralized bank account address book.
This year’s topic was inspired by the rapid liberalization of the banking market which has opened doors for the development of open banking models and the emergence of instant payments. Today, in the blockchain world, there are already plenty of ICOs, however, its application in the real world is often limited. The consequence is a negative image of blockchain technology.
Our goal is for the #SWITCH! hackathon to be the venue where a new concept for the utilization of blockchain technology for the real world comes to fruition.
Swedbank, the sponsor of #SWITCH! hackathon 2017, is inviting the best IT specialists and other technology enthusiasts from all over the world to apply for participation until 31st of August by filling in the registration form.
