In 2015, Mr. Sinkevičius obtained his PhD from ISM University of Management and Economics. Before that, in 2009, he acquired a qualifying degree of Master of Management and Business Administration at the same university.

Mr. Sinkevičius has also acquired a Bachelor’s degree of Law from Mykolas Romeris University and a Bachelor’s degree of Management and Business Administration from Vilnius University.

Mr. Sinkevičius is appointed the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania from 13 December 2016. Before that he was twice elected the Mayor of the Jonava District Municipality, in which position he served from 2011 to 2016.
Previously, from 2008 to 2011, Mr. Sinkevičius worked as Deputy Mayor of Jonava.

Mr. Sinkevičius also has a sufficient experience in the sectors of business and the NGO’s.

Currently he holds the position of Vice-Chairman of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party.
