Jurgita Petrauskiene is is currently the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.

Before becoming a minister, J. Petrauskiene was a head of Science and Study Monitoring and Analysis Center (MOSTA), since its foundation in 2007. Before that J. Petrauskiene worked 4 years at the International Science and Technology Development Programs Agency.

Petrauskiene graduated from Vilnius pedagogical University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Philology. After that followed Master of Arts in of Management and Business Administration at Vilnius University International Business School.

The minister is a member and expert in various European and Lithuania’s education evaluation expert groups.
