Giedré studied at the London School of Economics and Oxford University and obtained her PhD in Law from Maastricht University. Having worked as a solicitor at the international law-firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for a number of years, Giedrė then worked as a Director at the UK‘s Energy Regulator, OFGEM.
Giedré returned to Lithuania in 2014 when she became Chief Adviser to HE The President of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė. Giedrė is a founder of the association „Lyderė“ which campaigns for gender balance in senior management. She is also currently rolling out the Women Go Tech initiative in Denmark and Estonia. Giedrė has three kids.
