Blaž Golob manages the activities of the European Blockchain Hub. Hub advocates development of Blockchain that supports realization of Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs. Hub connects different stakeholders worldwide that shape societal and business challenges with the use of Blockchain technologies. Hub is located in the first Bitcoin city in the world namely BTC City in Ljubljana – Slovenia.
With the aim to promote European values, he organised 15th Forums on Europe. He provided a valuable insight on the role of cities implementing EU Digital Agenda for European Commission EU Strategic Policy Forum on Digital Entrepreneurship.
As a chairman of GFS (GoForesight) institute he organises Ljubljana Forum on Future of Cities and co-organises Zagreb forum on Creative cities. He brings together city mayors, urban planners, business and investors with the aim to create innovative city projects.
He is passionate about innovation, new concepts and new technologies serving people. He invented five pillars model of SmartCityPlatform – Power to the People, that could be used for managing city challenges and business development with the innovative use of city data.
He graduated at University of Ljubljana and specialized on European Law at Cambridge University.
